Research and internship opportunities during the summer can be enriching resources not only for your application but also for your career development as well. Doing a summer science program, for example, will really show you how much you like that subject and possibly even show you other applications of it.
There are an increasing number of summer programs that are based on merit. These are usually cost-effective yet highly competitive. The earlier your application is received, the better your chances. You do not have to limit yourself to a particular type of program; if you want to be a doctor but also have interests in journalism or broadcasting, you can definitely do summer programs for this! It may be one of the few opportunities you get to experience these fields unless you decide to major in them.
In the Resources tab, there are links to lists of research opportunities and internships. We hope you utilize these and enjoy your summer experiences!
